The Revolutionary Guard also hit a data center belonging to the tech company Amazon.

On Thursday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked U.S. steel and aluminum plants located in the Middle East in retaliation for the “criminal atrocities” committed by the U.S.-Israeli coalition against Iranian industry.

“In response to the U.S.-Zionist attacks on national infrastructure, the following regional targets were struck: Abu Dhabi steel facilities (US-linked); Al-Hidd industrial zone, Bahrain; and Bahrain’s remaining aluminum infrastructure,” the IRGC stated.

“We had warned that if an attack on Iranian industries were repeated, we would destroy the industries of the Zionist regime and U.S. industries based in the region,” the Revolutionary Guard said, noting that its Aerospace and Naval Forces carried out the operation, destroying “main sections” of the designated targets.

“The next response will be far more painful,” the IRGC warned, urging U.S. President Donald Trump to “refrain from repeating threats that could expand the war beyond the region.”

Steel and aluminum plants are key industrial targets because they produce strategic materials. Aluminum rose 6% on the London Metal Exchange, reaching $3,492 per metric ton, its highest value since March 19.

These price movements are linked to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which affects Persian Gulf manufacturers responsible for 9% of the global aluminum supply.

Separately, a spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya said that “the enemy’s intelligence about Iran’s military capabilities is incomplete,” adding that the targets attacked by the imperialist-Zionist coalition were “insignificant.”

He mentioned that “the real production facilities for strategic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles remain completely hidden and intact” and warned that “the conflict will continue and the next attacks will be more destructive.”

The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that the Resistance Front has not weakened, but has instead demonstrated “the inability of U.S.-Israeli forces.” He added that joint operations by allied groups with Iranian forces “have left the United States and Israel with no option but to surrender.”

Currently, Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, a maritime route through which about 20% of all oil and gas traded worldwide passes. The disruption of traffic by a large number of vessels has driven up global fuel prices. This action is part of Iran’s response to attacks on its energy infrastructure.

On Thursday, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard also confirmed an attack on a data center belonging to the technology company Amazon, one day after the deadline it had set to begin bombing U.S. companies in the Middle East expired.
